Gudeg is a traditional food from Central Java and Yogyakarta, Indonesia which is made from young Nangka (jack fruit) among other things, boiled for several hours with palm sugar and some spices until it turned dark colour, thus it tastes sweet and It is also called Green Jack Fruit Sweet Stew.
Tradisional way they added bamboo leaves to made gudeg became brown colour, since there was no bamboo leaves here, i added purple cabbage and for sure my gudeg turn nice colour as originaly ;)
