Cabbage lentils


For Indian, lentils or daal is common used for cooking. So many variation for daal recipe. Try lentils mix with vegetables, not so bad but yummy indeed :)

Ingederents:
  • lentils or (urad daal) 50 gr
  • cabbage shreded 200 gr
  • green chili 2 pieces, cut into 2
  • ginger 1 inch, choped
Seasoning:
  • onion 1 big size, choped
  • garlic 2 cloves, choped
  • tumeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • jeera or cumin powder 1/4 tsp
  • cloves 2 pieces
  • cinnamon 1 stick
  • cardomon seed 2 pieces
  • salt as required
  • ghee or vegetables butter
Washed lentils then put in pressure cooker, boiled for 2 times vessel by adding little water, keep aside.

Hot ghee in pan, then saute cardamom seed, cinnamon and cloves for 1 min. Add choped onion and garlic, stir fry until golden colour. Then add green chili and ginger.

Add shreded cabbage and little water, put all seasoning powder ( turmeric, chili powder, jeera, and salt). let it cabbage half cooked.

Add cooked lentils mix with cabbge and stir fry together until cabbage cooked.
Served hot with chapati or paratha.
